All the brides want their wedding to be perfect, but with all the emotions of the big day, it is possible for small accidents to occur. And we all know that it is these accidents that can ruin the most important day of your life.
This is why a bride’s purse shouldn’t be worn just to complete her outfit but to also to host some things you might need on your wedding day. For example an emergency kit can prove to be very useful if your make up flows, or if you get a stain on your wedding dress, or if you rip your pantyhose. So here are the things a bride must have on her wedding handbag.
A small sewing kit
A sewing kit that contains a needle, a safety pin and thread that matches your wedding dress color can prove to be very useful for a bride if somehow she rips her dress.
Floss and mints
Although it may seem a little crazy, floss and mints will make your smile irresistible on your wedding day. They will also help you make sure that your wedding pictures are perfect and shiny.
A colorless nail polish
Nail polish is used to stop your pantyhose from breaking. Also a colorless nail polish can help you remake your bridal manicure if needed.
A second pair of pantyhose
Not all the brides wear pantyhose but those who do, will probably need two of them. Pantyhose can easily get deteriorated as there is a lot of walking involved and bridal shoes are not always comfortable. So if you want your bridal outfit to be impeccable during your entire event, make sure your wedding handbag has a pair of pantyhose in it.
A make up kit
A make up kit that has makeup powder, lipstick, the makeup colors you have used for your bridal makeup and some cleansing are always needed in a girl’s purse. This kit will help you fix your makeup as tears will ruin your bridal makeup. Also a small mirror and a perfume shouldn’t be missing from a bride’s handbag.
A nail clipper and a nail file
On your wedding day there are many things you need to take care of, so there are a lot of opportunities for you to break a nail. A nail clipper and a nail file will help you take care of this problem, so that you can enjoy the rest of your party.
Tissues and wipes
Most probably you will shed some tears on your wedding day. In order to make sure that you won’t have mascara all over your face, make sure you have some napkins and wipes to help you clean your face. Using your makeup kit you will retouch your makeup in no time.
A headache or a stomachache can occur when you least expect it. So, if you don’t want to let a superficial health problem ruin your most important day, a bride should have some medicine in her wedding handbag.
Double adhesive tape
I know it sounds crazy, but a double adhesive tape can prove in handy in some unexpected situations. For example, I was at a wedding where the bride and the groom had a banner made with their names. The problem was that the banner wouldn’t stay on the wall, as they wanted it. Luckily the bride had a double adhesive tape and they managed to stick the banner to the wall.
Scissors are very useful and very many situation. If you think that the ribbons from the wedding favors are too long, or if a piece of your bridal gown got ripped, you can always cut them out and continue your evening as nothing ever happened.
Hairpins and hair spray
As your wedding can last for several hours, your bridal hairstyle might not resist through the dancing and walking. So a few simple black hairpins and a hair spray will help you make sure that your wedding hairstyle lasts as it needs to.
This is an item I would never have thought about. But as my friend said, it can get you out of some trouble. For example, if you get some drops of red wine on your bridal gown, you can use white chalk to cover them. This works only if your bridal gown is white.
So, if you think about it, all these things won’t get into an usual handbag. This is why a bride should take the mints, the makeup kit and the wipes in her handbag, and put the others into a another small bag and make sure she always has it with her.
