If you decide to have your wedding ceremony in a Catholic Church, or in any other church , there are some important things you need to think about before choosing one. Am sure that there are at least two churches that have special meaning for you and your future spouse, and it can be difficult to decide in which of these churches to have your wedding ceremony.
How to Choose Your Wedding Ceremony Church
First you have to finish your invitation list and see how many people are going to be at your wedding. There is rule that says that a little more than half of those you invite to your wedding ceremony will actually show up. So you have to make sure that the church you choose has enough places for all your guests.
I’m sure that you have spent a lot of time thinking about your wedding ceremony outline and about you going down the aisle. Before booking a church you have to find out if the church can be accommodated to the wedding ceremony outline you have in mind.
If you are on a budget you might want to think about checking the prices. Not all the churches will offer you a deal that you can accept. If you intend to have your wedding ceremony in a church you must negotiate till you get a deal that suits you better. Once you made the deal, make sure you get everything in a written contract, so there won’t be any misunderstandings.
If you want to be married by a certain wedding officiant you need to ask the church you consider for your wedding if you are allowed to bring your own wedding ceremony officiant. Each church has its policies, so it is possible your church to allow only their officiant to perform wedding ceremonies.
Although no one thinks about this in their wedding day, you must consider that some accidental injuries might occur before, during or after the wedding ceremony. That’s way you have to ask if you need to provide yourself insurance or it is included in their contract.
After taking care of all these problems, do a tour of the church with the staff coordinator and find out what things you are allowed to use and what you are allowed to bring in, such as decorations and if there are certain adhesives you are allowed to use or not in your decoration. Most of the wedding ceremony churches allow you to decorate the church with flowers, but some might not.
I have already chosen the church where I’m going to get married. It is a church in the neighborhood of my boyfriend’s house, where he has been going since he was a child. We are going to have a Catholic Church wedding ceremony. We know the minister there and we both agreed that he is the right ceremony officiant for our wedding. The church is big enough for our guests and I’m sure it won’t be a problem with decorations. We also agreed on the wedding ceremony outline so our wedding is going to be like in a fairytale.
