To create the right atmosphere at your wedding, you need to make sure that you have chosen the perfect music. Music sets the mood during your ceremony and makes your evening celebration peaceful. All you have to do is choosing the right notes, and your wedding will be remembered by all your guests. When talking about wedding music you have to consider the ceremony, the pre-meal drinks, and the reception itself.

The traditional songs that are played during the ceremony varies depending on the moment of the wedding. When guests are being seated to their places for the wedding ceremony traditional prelude songs should be playing; this prelude is usually soft background music and it sets the mood. When the bride is entering the wedding ceremony, traditional songs such as Wagner’s Bridal March should be played. Some couples choose to have some traditional songs played during the ceremony; usually we talk about solos and romantic songs. As the bride and groom and the wedding party walk back down the aisle a traditional recessional song should be played; this music is usually celebratory. The postlude music is played immediately after the recessional as the guests leave their seat. No matter what songs you choose for each of these moments, it doesn’t necessary have to be traditional but you have to make sure that you get approval from your church minister.

The traditional songs playing after the wedding ceremony must be very carefully chosen. You need to remember that, after keeping quiet during the ceremony, your guests will start talking loudly, making a lot of noise. The songs chosen must be in a soft background to keep them from making more noise.

The music playlist for your wedding reception is the most important one. You can choose between a band, a DJ or a disc jockey, but make sure to let your reception venue what type of entertainment you will be having, as there are venues that accept only live music. If you are having a big wedding, there will be more guests to satisfy with your reception music playlist; in these cases the disc jockey seems to be the best choice. If your wedding is small, and you know your guests closely, you could go with a band: soul band, jazz quartet, steel band, salsa, reggae.

If you are having both live band and a DJ, make sure that they have enough space at your venue for both to set up and perform. Let your band know well in advance of your first dance and of any special requests you have  regarding the music playlist in case they need to practice. Make sure you get in writing the duration your musicians or band will play for during the wedding reception, the number and duration of any breaks and the cost of over-running.

I have spent a lot of time thinking about the music playlist I will have at my wedding and I believe that there will be traditional classic songs for the wedding ceremony. As for the wedding reception, I think that a band is the best choice. In our country, if a band sings at a wedding, it usually sings not only the songs written by them, but any other song  or playlist that the bride and the groom ask for. We also have a traditional music style, something similar to folk, but still different; the presence of this music style at a wedding is very important, as it makes all the guests get up and dance.

Years ago a new wedding tradition was born. This tradition assumes thanking or greeting guests at a wedding ceremony with wedding favors.  These gifts serve as a token and memoir of the day that the couple takes the sacred vow of marriage. Although wedding favors is not a requirement for your wedding, it is hard to omit them when making your ceremony selections.

First step to do when choosing your creative wedding favors is establishing your budget. You need to think about a realistic budget and stick to it. Depending on the number of the guests and the budget you have established you will buy cheaper or more expensive wedding favors. If you are on a budget you can be creative and make your own personalized wedding favors that can also serve as a part of the decoration for the reception hall.

Most of the weddings have a theme. When choosing your best wedding favors it would be nice to make sure they are creative and suitable for your wedding theme. For example, if your wedding venue is on a beach you can give candles to your guests, embellished with something creative of a tropical mood. Also, it would be best for your wedding favors to have the same colors as those used in your wedding decorations.

It is always advisable to choose editable wedding favors. As most of your guest would enjoy editable gifts that can be eaten, you should consider being creative and choose cookies, chocolates, candies, mints, hams, honey, pies or anything else you have in mind. If you are on a budget, you should consider some inexpressive wedding favors These accessories are simple and can be made by the couple. You can choose plain white, small bottles of bubbles, or you can print a label with the couple’s name and date to place around the bottle.

Some couples choose a more custom wedding favor. In this case you should get creative and imprint candies, or a poem written by the bride and groom, or a picture of the couple. You can always create a CD for your guests that include some of the bride of the groom favorite songs. If you are expecting children at your wedding party, don’t make them feel left aside. Prepare favors that they will appreciate best, such as goodies bags of candies and lollipops, story booklets, coin banks, board games, or puzzles.

In my country this tradition is very young, but I know I am going to have creative wedding favors at my wedding. I was thinking about a little silver bell, with a spiral tale where we can put a thank you card for our guests. I believe that it is inexpressive and the fact that we can attach a card makes it personal. I have attached an image for you to have a better idea about my wedding favor. Hope you will like it.Silver bell

Most wedding receptions involve alcoholic drinks, that’s why equally important to food are the cocktail drinks served during wedding ceremonies and functions. Shortage of  signature drinks or lack good signature drinks in wedding is like missing the main ingredient.

The most important factor that needs to be taken into consideration before choosing your signature drinks is your wedding budget. Depending on your wedding budget you can calculate how much you offer your guests to drink. If you are on a budget, knowing that a bottle of 26oz wine yields 5 glasses while a bottle of average champagne will yield 6 flute glasses might be important information.

Tradition says that the spouses should welcome their wedding guests with glasses of signature drinks, champagne or sparkling wine. But you need to make sure that we have an alternative, such as a cocktail drink, or a lemonade or orange juice for those who don’t drink alcohol.

Most of the couples getting married provide a meal to their guests. In this case, you need to find a wedding signature drink that goes with that meal. Most of the time, wine is chosen, because it can be served with almost any food. However, you have to pay attention to matching the wine with the food. For example, if you serve red meat, you should also choose a red wine, but not a sweet one, and if you are serving fish, you should consider white wine.  But you can always go with cocktail drinks for wedding reception meals that involve more appetizers than actual meals.  Also, remember the nonalcoholic drinks; it can be anything from water to different flavors of juice.

After the meal comes the dancing part of your wedding. Having a bar with cocktail drinks prepared for this part of your wedding is a very good idea. If the bar is provided by your wedding venue, your only concern is whether you are willing to provide signature drinks all evening, or to ask your guest to pay for their drinks at some point. If you are arranging your own bar, things are a lot simpler, as you can bring your own signature drinks, which you can purchase a lot cheaper.

Calculating how much wedding signature drinks to buy it is rather difficult. However you can approximate.  For wine to accompany a meal, half a bottle per person is a good guide. For the split between red and white wine, fifty percent white and fifty percent red is a safe bet. For the bar afterward, you need to estimate based on your knowledge of your guests and how much they like cocktail drinks!  It’s always better to buy too much than too little, as you can always keep what‘s left over, or give it to friends or relatives.

If you want to make an impression with your wedding drinks, you should try to match your signature drink with your wedding theme. You should also try serving cocktail drinks that have the same colors as the colors of your wedding. Naming your cocktail drinks can also make a good impression among your wedding guests.

At my wedding things will be a little different. In my country it is also a tradition to welcome your wedding guests with a glass of signature drinks. The difference is that we serve another two courses, which require two different wedding signature drinks. One of the drinks will be wine, red and white. As some of you know, one of the Romania’s neighbors is Ukraine, a country where people drink a lot of vodka. This custom has past the border and our people started drinking vodka too. I admit I like it too. That’s why our second wedding drink will be vodka and not a cocktail drink. I will also have water and different flavors of juice. You have here a sample of the way my and my future husband champagne glasses will look like. Groms glasses
